"A City-Wide
Transformation
Machine"
Outfit the March aims to break free from traditional spaces, and make the city our stage
Outfit the March is a mobile theatre machine that equips creatives and transforms everyday, urban places into immersive theatre experiences.
How? With awe-inspiring tech such as advanced lighting, rigging, A/V equipment, accessibility aids, wardrobe, alternative power sources, and mobile box-office equipment.
95% of companies are seeking to use alternative locations. Let’s outfit the march!

How can you help?
For a donation of $500, you can put your name on a brand new chair, and have a front-row seat to Outside the March’s award-winning programming.
These chairs are state-of-the-art modular “prime comfort” chairs—the same ones found courtside at NBA games—ensuring that site-specific theatre has the glamour and comfort of Toronto’s finest entertainment.
And one will forever have your name on it.

Where will it go?
Outfit the March will transform everyday places into cultural spaces, allowing theatre-makers to tell their stories anywhere. And your donation makes that vision a reality.
Over the past 15 years, our audiences have:
-
Gotten the tea on workplace politics in an intimate Trinity-Bellwoods café (“Performance Review” 2025)
-
Raved at an underground dance party in a transformed cubicle farm (“R.A.V.E.” 2024)
-
Unlocked mysteries in a beloved Annex VHS rental store (“The Tape Escape” 2019)
-
Weathered the apocalypse in an abandoned Leslieville movie theatre (“Mr. Burns” 2015)
-
Played with us in a Parkdale kindergarten classroom (“Mr. Marmalade” 2011)
What transformation will Outfit the March power next?
-
Talk of the town

I’m convinced of its oversized potential to benefit not only OtM’s productions but the sector at large. Some opportunities are genuinely too good to ignore.
- Robert Sirman, Strategic Advisor

Being given the support to dream big and allow my imagination to reach new heights is humbling and amazing and never something I thought I’d ever have!
- Todd Houseman, Theatre Artist

Working with OtM has been great for my café, Morning Parade. Their team is easy to work with and helped bring in new and returning customers.
